Terms and Conditions

Please ensure you read and understand these Terms & Conditions before you book a class, workshop or course. By proceeding with a payment to Julie Weir Art you are agreeing to the terms outlined below. This applies to both you and any additional guests attending with you.

GIFT VOUCHERS

If the value of the gift card is lower than the cost of the goods the recipient wants to purchase, the remaining balance will need to be paid by the recipient. If the cost of the goods, is less than the value of the gift card, the gift card will remain in credit for the outstanding amount. Gift Vouchers are valid for a maximum of 12 months from date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Gift Vouchers are not to be used in conjunction with any other offer. Gift vouchers are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person. Gift vouchers can be used on all goods including workshops and classes.

Workshops.

By participating in the painting or pottery workshops, you acknowledge that Julie Weir Art makes no guarantees as to the outcome of your own work.

Pottery will be fired for you. However because pottery, especially handmade pieces, can be susceptible to damage due to its fragility and potential for the maker to include air bubbles in the clay, this can result in your piece being damaged in the kiln during the firing process. Glazes could react differently in the kiln during each firing due to chemical reactions caused by kiln temperature, clay body and glaze. For this reason, finishes may not always be the same. Julie Weir Art will not be held responsible for any inconsistencies. Due to the nature of pottery sometimes you can put a piece into the kiln and it does not come out the way you would like. Unfortunately this is the nature of clay and even as a professional this still happens, hence why people pray to the kiln gods.

Julie Weir Art can not be held responsible for your final piece. However, if your piece gets damaged in the kiln Julie Weir Art will offer for you to come and remake the piece. If your piece has been made at one of the monthly makes and your piece has been damaged then Julie Weir Art will offer for you to make the piece again. Failing that, she will make a piece for you, so that you do not leave empty handed. No refunds will be given if you have attended a workshop.

I will be teaching my techniques at my monthly makes and showing how to make my products which I have developed over the years. Due to copyright you will be unable to reproduce these to sell and I ask that you do not run a similar workshop based on my teaching or designs. You can however make more products for your own home.

Collection of your work

You will be notified when your work has been fired and we will keep your work for 6 weeks after it has been completed. Please get in contact via email or text to organise a time to pick up your work.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a workshop due to illness or other commitments, please contact me as soon as possible, so that I can try to fill your space. If I am able to refill your space then a refund can be given minus a £10 admin fee. Unfortunately if I am unable to refill your space I will not be able to refund the amount but may be able to offer you another date for you to attend. Course payments are not refundable.  We are not able to vary from our stated refund policy regardless of your situation.

Cancellation of workshop from Julie Weir Art

If Julie Weir has to cancel a workshop, then individuals will be offered a full refund or if preferred the option of rescheduling to a future course date if available. Julie Weir Art will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from amendments to the course or cancellations. Julie Weir Art will not be responsible for travel expenses or hotel costs if a course has been cancelled.
